FOREWORD FROM THE DIRECTOR
Children with disabilities represent a unique population within Pediatrics. From there, a commitment was made to open a state of the art medical and first of its kind intensive pediatric Rehabilitation therapy Centre. In March 2011, Dr. Majdi El Halik Pediatric Physical and Mental Rehabilitation Centre FZ-LLC opened its doors at Dubai Healthcare City in UAE.
Since 2011, we have forged an enviable reputation as one of the leading disability service providers in UAE.
Over time, our ability to adapt in response to the changing needs of children with disability has ensured that we remain at the forefront of service excellence. In Nov 2013, Dr. Majdi El Halik Pediatric Physical and Mental Rehabilitation Centre FZ-LLC extended its unit for occupational and speech therapy services in Dubai Healthcare City.
As a private Centre that is nationally recognized in treating and diagnosing complex rehabilitative pediatric cases. The center is proud to serve patients from across the country and around the world. All under one roof, the center specializes in various unique and combined mental and physical rehabilitation therapies such as Thera Suit Therapy, Bobath Therapy, Hyper-Baric Oxygen Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Botox Injection and conventional physiotherapy.
Our centre aims to ensure that international standards of excellence in quality and therapy are maintained at every level. The centre is unique in the Emirates for providing a holistic multi-disciplinary approach to intensive rehabilitation.
Our facility is child friendly therapy with fun and offers a stress-free environment to the parents while their children receive the finest medical treatment.Each child receives a programme specially designed to meet his or her individual needs. Parents are encouraged to participate in all aspects of the centre's functioning and to be actively involved in their child's treatment program.
The Centre’s purpose is to develop children's ability to function to maximum capacity and develop maximum independence and to improve the quality of everyday life.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduated from Alexandria University, with MBBCh,MD ,1983
- Diploma in Child Health -(Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dublin, Ireland)- April 1989.
- Former -Specialist Pediatric Neurology- Latifa Hospital 1995-2015.
- He obtained a membership of EUROPA Epilepsy Society.
- Course in Pediatric Epilepsy in Vienna University, Italy.
- Medical attachment in Pediatric Psychiatry in London University.
- He was trained and worked with Professor Heakyung Kim- Columbia University and Weill Cornell Medical College NEW YORK,USA (Subspecialty of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine, American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation- 2003) from 2001-2016.
- Worked with Consultant Child & Adolescent Neuro Psychiatry: Dr. Samaa El Abd : for 14 years from 2001-2015.
- Dr. Majdi El Halik has an extensive involvement and collaborates with different international PEDIATRIC Neurologist from U.S.A, U.K and Germany and gained vast experience of different modalities of management of complicated neurological cases.
- Established the first Pediatric Rehabilitation Centre in Kazakhstan in July 2014.
- He currently serves as a Medical Director with Special Interest in Pediatric Rehabilitation, NEUROLOGY AND PSYCHIATRIC CONDITIONS- in Dr. Majdi El Halik Pediatric Physical and Mental Rehabilitation Center.
